More than 100 years of hockey in north Essex

Welcome to Colchester Hockey Club

We are the premier field hockey club in north Essex. Our five Men's teams and the Ladies' 1sts compete in the East leagues and our two other ladies' teams are in the Essex leagues. We also have veterans, mixed Sunday league and indoor teams, and a thriving junior section.

The Colchester Hockey Club welcomes new members of all ages and standards. If you are thinking of joining, we encourage you to come along to one of our training sessions or to the pre-season selection days in early September. The league season begins in late September but new members can join throughout the season.

21 July 2010: The Annual General Meeting of Colchester Hockey Club was held Tuesday 20 July. Due to the changeover of webmaster, the minutes will not be posted until next week. However, they will possibly be emailed to the membership later in the week. 

13 July 2010: Former CHC player Geoff Nolan has died. He also played hockey for the Sunday Colchester Exiles and Phoenix Hockey Clubs during the 50s and 60s. The funeral will be held on Wednesday 14 July.

28 June 2010: Congratulations to CHC Men's 3rd's player Andy Bryant who helped the Ministry of Defence national hockey team secure victory in the annual Hancock and Evans Cup (for Civil Service Departments). To read a report and see photos, click here.
