Welcome to the Colchester Hockey Club website.

We are the premier field hockey club in north Essex, with five men's teams, three ladies' teams, vets' teams and a junior section.

The Colchester Hockey Club welcomes new members of all ages and standards. If you are thinking of joining, we encourage you to come along to one of our training sessions or to one of the pre-season selection days in early September. The league season begins in late September but new members can join throughout the season. 

In 2007-08, we celebrated our centenary season. There were various events throughout the season to commemorate this milestone, as well as our usual social activities. In addition, 'The Holly and the Rose: a History of Colchester Hockey Club', a 200+ page book, was written and is available at the start of the 2008-09 season.

Latest news

28 August 2008: If you would like to join the 200 Club (run by Sarah Rose and Jacqui Crombie) and be in with a chance to win money in the five monthly draws, visit the 200 Club page.

Club training starts next week, Monday 1 September. To find out times, visit the Club Info page. Please note that there is a designated carpark on Circular Road North next to the athletics track. It is no longer permitted to park on the road next to the pitch as before. 

'The Holly and the Rose: a History of Colchester Hockey Club' will be available to buy at the official book launch on Saturday 27 September, 7pm at the Clubhouse. For more details, see the Club History page.
